The Port of Durban’s Maydon Wharf common-user Berth 14 serviced the multipurpose vessel Bright Sky last week, the first ship to use the berth since its reconstruction. The two berths now have a depth of 14.5 m, enabling them to handle vessels with draughts up to 13 m, making these berths the deepest in the Port of Durban, according to Engineering News.
